LAW NOTES:PERIOD OF IDDAT

PERIOD OF IDDAT
In muslim law ,when a marriage is dissolved by death or divorce ,the women is prohibited from marrying within a specified time called PERIOD OF IDDAT.
The abstinence from remarrying is imposed with a view to ascertaining the pregnancy of the women so as to avoid confusion of paternity .it is prohibited for a muslim to marry a women undergoing iddat for her previous marriage

Facts about tamil 1.Tamil was declared a classical language by UNESCO IN 2004 the union cabinet created a new category of language which would be based on certain criteria. Tamil was the first to be include in this. It is one of the first language to attain this status.
